Richard Ziolkowski

I am a Canberra-based software developer. I make iPhone apps, web tools, games, courses, local AI systems, and small developer utilities.

Most of my work starts with a concrete problem: learn a command, practice a workflow, run a small system, or make a game loop feel good. I mostly use Swift and SwiftUI, React and TypeScript, Python, and Docker.

I enjoy following an idea through all the awkward parts of making it. Sometimes that means reworking a lesson; sometimes it means getting a little character animation to feel right. The projects here are a record of that work, including the versions that are still changing.

Tidewhim, Cat Climber and Whisker Witch are collaborations with my wife. She designs the games and leads their creative direction; I handle development and implementation.

You can see the current work in projects and the longer-form thinking in notes.
